Here's where it really gets fun!!
As a visual artist, I've worked with many different types of materials. I've done everything from oil paintings on canvas, to very mixed media sculpture.
I enjoy working with steel, ceramics, glass, concrete, among other things, and I've always liked water as element in art...
*As you're taking a good look, I urge you to let your own imagination run wild as to what might be possible using some of these same materials and building techniques. REMEMBER: We can make it real! <SMILE>
Left: 3 different views of a piece that stands over 7ft tall. It incorporates a 100 gallon fully functional aquarium and ceramic sculpture within...
(piece from the HOME page)
Right: A 4 cubic ft piece incorporating a 1 cubic ft functional aquarium and ceramic sculpture within.
Right: 2 different rebar sculptures working inward toward central functional aquariums with ceramic sculpture within. They're both approximately 5.5ft tall, and below is a detail of the one on the left...
Below: 3 different pics of fountains I've built... Left: a couple of "plant" fountains roughly 5ft tall each. Center: A 9ft tall commisioned fountain I built for a high-end car lot in Venice CA. Right: A sundial fountain, the best part being, the stream of water passing through the center casts the shadow that tells the time. It stands roughly 5 ft tall, and was a fun and tricky project... <smile>
Pieces from a steel and ceramic series that's closely related to to large aquarium piece above... The "steps" piece is a little over 2ft tall and the 2 others are approximately 5ft tall each...
